South Carolina’s Top Legal Group Names a New President

The South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) has named a new President. Midlands’ attorney Hugh McAngus, Jr. (2006) of Chappell, Smith & Arden is taking over leadership of the State’s largest association of plaintiff lawyers. He will be replacing attorney Alex Cash, whose term has expired.

SCAJ has over 1200 members and is the State’s leading advocate for matters related to justice and access to fairness under the law. McAngus will bring a unique mixture of legal experience and policy expertise to the position.

“The Association’s work is vital to protecting our system of justice, and it makes a positive difference in people’s lives. The legal profession is much more than a job to me. It’s a calling, and I am honored to be serving as President of such an active and effective Association,” McAngus said.
