‘Remarkable time’ is a test, USC law school dean says

FLORENCE, S.C. – The dean of the University of South Carolina’s School of Law spoke Monday to the Rotary Club of Florence and advocated for the rule of law and future generations of strong, capable and well-trained lawyers willing to uphold it.

Robert Wilcox is a Charleston native who serves on the Chief Justice’s Commission on the Profession, the S.C. Commission on Judicial Conduct and is former chair of the South Carolina Faculty Senate who frequently speaks at continuing legal education events, Rotarian Mark Buyck Jr. told the crowd during the introduction.

“He is a great addition to the university,” said Buyck, who serves on USC’s board of trustees.
